A Very Warm Welcome to Eden’s Lakes

Looking for a Carp Fishing Holiday in France that offers that bit extra? Then look no further – We are the answer to the question: “Where can we go carp fishing in France?”

North LakeSituated in the picturesque region of Limousin in South West France is Eden’s Lakes, a French Carp Fishing Holiday experience you will never forget.

Our French Carp Lakes have been stocked with big fish with amazing strength. Beautiful looking Carp that, hand-fed on our own boilies, pellets and maize, have really piled on the pounds. Their amazing strength and sheer beauty have astounded the anglers that have thoroughly enjoyed an unforgettable angling holiday with us.

Eden’s Lakes have been stocked with a high quality strain of carp, bred for their frame, their strength and their capacity to pile on the weight, the largest of which was stocked at 51lb in January 2005!! We keep a record of the carp that have been caught, and they have the ability to put on a phenomenal amount of weight. Just for example a carp caught in April 2005 weighed 35lb, the same carp came out in June 2005 at 37lb, it was caught several times more in 2005 and sustained its weight at 37lb. The same carp was caught in April 2006 and weighed 39lb 5oz then in June 2006 weighing in at 42lb!! This is just one of several carp that have put on 7lb (or more) in the last 14 months!!

Originally a fish farm itself (hence the high quality of the water and design of the lakes and stock ponds) Eden’s Lakes are set in over 14 hectares of idyllic countryside, with rolling fields, crops and trees as far as the eye can see. No major roads to ruin your peace and quiet, but only a few minutes drive to Boussac which boasts a new village square with outside eateries, bars, pizza restaurant, tabac, bakeries, hotel, post office, banks and two supermarkets. Although lots to offer, Boussac is a quiet village and hosts a traditional market on a Thursday morning. Alternatively, if you don’t want to leave the lake we offer a free shopping service. This has been very useful for those who don’t want to go anywhere but need food, cigarettes and even post cards sent!

Within four and a half hours drive of the port at Le Havre, and 90 minutes from Limoges airport, we are nearer than you think. Take advantage of our All-Inclusive package, and we will pick you up from the airport, provide your meals and supply you with fishing equipment.

Facilities
chalet
Our facilities have been praised by all the anglers. We provide 24hr use of the wooden chalet which boasts a very popular hydro-massage shower (superb for those aching ‘carp fighting’ muscles!) English toilet, power-points (to charge up mobile phones, camera batteries and bait boats etc) A fully equipped kitchen with 2 fridges, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, 2 ring electric hob, gas bar-be-que, cooking and eating utensils (including plates, pans, cutlery etc).
We supply all of the following: Toilet roll, washing-up liquid, tea, coffee, sugar, milk (for teas and coffees), salt, pepper, cooking oil, cling film, tin foil, bin liners and magazines to read – Not your average Drive & Survive eh?!! We even have a fully equipped caravan at the Jolly Pad Lake.

Want to bring family who'd like to explore? There are lots of recreation possibilities open to you in the area. Hiking and cycling lovers will enjoy discovering this stunning part of the world. Venture out on your own or take advantage of pre-discovered routes (details available from the Tourist Office). This region is so beautiful it attracts many keen painters, photographers and authors in search of inspiration.

From May to October there are numerous Brocantes (Local Fetes) and other activities. A summer program is available at the Tourist Office. The beautiful 15th century Chateau de Boussac, proud of its links to the author George Sand, is only a short walk from the village square. There are also local places of interest to visit such as Les Pierres Jaumatres, huge rocks seemingly defying gravity...excellent to pic-nic and climb on! There is also a cafe/bar and an Ariel Adventure Playground in the trees.

Also available are activities such as: Horse Riding (15 km), Golf (20 km), Swimming/Water-Recreation (5-30 km), Zoo (30 km), Theme Park (30km), Survival (10 km), Canoeing (30-60 km), Train Station (35 km), International Airport (150 km), Wolf Sanctuary (15km) and much more!
